Having heard about Rapture Retreat, Ava had taken a trip over to the island, in hopes of finding something that would make the trip all the worth while. Standing by the shore, the warmth of the summer made the day a nearly perfect day to go enjoy some time on the sand and in the surf. So now dressed in a nice swimsuit, she began to make her way down the sandy shore, looking around for a place to set up her towel and bag.

Finding a good spot to sit, she laid out her towel, making sure it would say in place if the wind was to try and pick up the towel while she wasn’t on top of it. Once that was out of the way, she sat down on the towel, looking out at the water, enjoying the sight of it for a little bit of time.

FairMacbeth said the following:

Today was the first day of Linkoln’s four days off of his rotation at the firehall, and it was totally gorge! The sun was high, the waves were killer, and the man had been up since dawn making up for being trapped, so to speak, in a firetruck and boots. Now, the surfer only had on his swim trunks so that the sun could kiss his already perfectly tanned skin and the heat of the day was kept at bay with the spray of the ocean as his board sailed and glided wave after wave.

Riding a larger tube, Linkoln hollered and whooped as free as any Wingull and disappeared into the belly of the blue tube of water before reappearing and gliding towards the shore. Time for some lunch though as hyped up on life as he was, the Seadra failed to notice until he was in the shallows that the beach was occupied by a person.

As she sat on her towel, she could hear the noise of something out in the surf, causing her to be a bit curious about what it could be. It sounded like a person, but with this island being new to her, she didn’t know if it was just a pokemon that managed to copy the sounds of people. So getting up from her towel, she began to make her way to the edge of the water, the cool feel of it washing over her feet. She shivered some, since it was a jolt of coldness on her body, but it didn’t last long until she looked at the water more.

As she stared out at the water, she noticed someone coming back in on a board. But from the distance she first saw them at, she had no idea who exactly it was, until her got a bit closer. Seeing the noticable features of a Seadra, she remembered what her sister had mentioned to her. Could this be the guy she was talking about? “Uh… hello there.” She called out, waving her arm some.

FairMacbeth said the following:

When the woman greeted him, having the sun in his eyes as she did, Linkoln smiled broadly and nearly replied with a particular name on his tongue but hesitated when he came to realize that the person whom he was walking towards wasn't who he thought. Wading through the shallows, the surfer picked up his board and approached the lady, lifting a hand to return her greeting and said, "Sup?" He stopped within feet of the woman and only then did he see that she wasn't Tai for sure but looked similar...

"Oh! You must be Ava! How's it going, dude? I've heard of yah!" Grinning broadly, his chest shimmering with water, making his tanned skin glisten, the man was happy to meet the elusive twin of his gal friend.

When he got up to her, she was a bit nervous about how he replied to her, even if it was more like he was talking to a friend. She hadn’t heard much about this guy from Tai, but hearing that he knew of her, she wondered what her sister mentioned about her. “Uh, yeah… I’m Ava.” She replied, not trying to notice the glistening body. “Uh, I’m doing well right now. How about yourself?” She asked, looking his way now.

“Uh… if you don’t mind me asking… what have you heard about me?” She asked a little bit later, since she had no idea exactly what Tai would have said about her. Did she say good things, bad things, embarrassing things? Was there a preconcieved idea about herself in this guys head from Tai? All that thought was getting her a bit nervous.

FairMacbeth said the following:

Yes... His body was gorgeous and he was aware of it but Linkoln just kept on smiling. "Cool!" So this was Ava, interesting! "Oh yah know, I'm pretty great. The waves are so tubular today so I'm diggin' it". Readjusting his board in his arms, Linkoln waded a bit more out of the water so he could stick his surfboard into the sand.

At her question, Linkoln looked aside at her with a slightly raised brow, though amusement quickly brightened his features. With a casual shrug, he replied, "Oh, yah know... I'm friends with Tai and she mentioned that she had a twin, which I thought was cool because I'm a twin, and... Yeah, that's about it". That's actually was about it and f Tai had told him anything more, Linkoln didn't remember.

Hearing all that he said, she did let out a bit of a sigh. “Well, that’s good to hear. The surf really does look nice today.” She replied, looking back out at the water. It was a calming sight to her eyes, helping her get over the fears and nervousness she had earlier.

As he began to talk about what Tai told him, she did perk up some hearing he was a twin as well. “Really? What’s your twin like?” She asked, since that was something cool to hear about someone. Her wings did flap a bit, not much to cause sand to move, but enough to cause a breeze.

FairMacbeth said the following:

“Ah, well,” Linkoln stammered, his grin softening a bit and he looked aside with a shrug, “I’ve never met the guy”. Smiling and turning to shoe off his tattoo on his left shoulder, of the tribal Horsea, “Yah see? This is for him, James, my twin brother, because he was born still so yeah! Though, I’m sure he would have been totally as awesome as me!” Stretching his arms as well as his back fins, Linkoln fixed his trunks and looked around, admiring the sunny day. “So… what brings yah all the way here? I think your sister said that you don’t live on Rapture, right? Yah waitin’ for someone, bro?”

PCChamp053

Hearing his words, she did get a bit down, since well… if his brother was stillborn, but never met him that meant… Well now she felt rude for asking about that. “Oh… I see… That’s a nice tattoo you have. And I like the meaning behind it.” She replied, her tone clearly down about how she brought up that part of the conversation. But when he asked about what she was doing, she blushed some. “Uh, yeah… we’re both in Affection Atoll. But uh, I had heard some words about Rapture and wanted to visit the island. And well… with the nice weather out, I figured going to the beach would be nice…” She started to reply, before looking at the sky some. “But uh… I’m not actually waiting for anyone… I’m just here by myself.” She replied, rubbing the back of her head. “I take it you were on your way out of the water?” She asked, seeing as he wasn’t out surfing still

FairMacbeth said the following:

Linkoln had seen it before and anticipated it, that whenever he mentioned his twin people got all apologetic for mentioning it. Well for one, how could people know? And two, Linkoln was fine with it because, well, he's known it his entire life. So, he just have the gal a smile and waved off her concern, showing her that it was no big deal. "Well thanks! I got it about... I don't know, when I was fifteen or something? But yeah! I've been to Tai's house so I knew that". Leaving it on that note, the man nodded at her comment at the weather and idly dug his toes into the sand.

"So all on your lonesome, eh? That's cool. Sometimes yah just gotta have some awesome you time, right? And yeah! I was just headed in to grab some grub though I live on the other side of the island... Guess I was too much into the zone!" Grinning and running a hand through his wet hair, the surfer chuckled at the silliness of life.

She nodded her head as he talked about his tattoo, but did blush a bit hearing how he went to Tai’s house. Did her sister hook up with him? Did they… Oh the thoughts! Curse you romance novels! But shaking off those thoughts, she tried to keep the conversation on the tattoo. “Well, it still looks very nice.” She commented. “I’ve always given thoughts of getting a tattoo, but just haven’t had the confidence to get one…” She added, rubbing her head some.

Hearing about his plan, she didn’t know if she should interrupt it just to get a better idea of the guy, or should try and hang out with him more. “Ok, uh… what places nearby are there to eat? I mean, I’m not from here, so I just wanted to know where I could get something to eat.” She asked, wondering if he would just tell her, or possibly show her.

FairMacbeth said the following:

Taking a moment to think about possible eateries on the island, the man shrugged and admitted, "I can't say that I know of any like restaurants on the island but I was just gunna eat at my place". Pouring a bit in thought, the man quickly smiled and shrugged again. "Sorry, that's all I got!" Scratching his arm, the surfer considered like inviting the girl over to eat but perhaps that wasn't the best idea.... Linkoln honestly didn't know. "So!" He piped up to interrupt his thoughts, "are you like a farmer too?"

PCChamp053

She did frown a bit, not hearing anything about anywhere nearby to eat. But hearing about how he was going to eat at his home, she nodded some. “Oh, that’s a smart idea.” She replied, since it was a cheaper way of eating rather than going to a restaurant. “And it’s fine. I don’t take offense to that.” She replied to him, looking back at him for his question. “Uh, well… rancher. But yeah, I’m one like my sister. We just, work with different pokemon.” She mentioned to him.

FairMacbeth said the following:

Right.... Rancher, farmer same thing, Linkolm didn't see the difference. People grew plants and they grew animals, how was there a difference? All the same, the man just kept on smiling. "So what do you farm then? Tai I know does duckies". The duck had been cute, Linkoln had met the little bird, but bigger animals the man didn't know what to do. He'd never been around farms growing up, let alone had never been to one, so big animals didn't exactly frighten him, the firefighter just didn't know how to act or whatever around them.

“I work with Mareeps primarily.” She replied. “They’re nice, even if they do have some strong static to their wool.” She added, laughing a bit at the thought of her hair sticking up from grooming Alpha, her one mareep. She looked back at him though. “They’re not like Tai’s little duck, but when you get to know them, they really are nice.” She added, hoping that her talk didn’t hinder his thoughts about her in anyway.

FairMacbeth said the following:

"Oh, cool... Sheeps!" Big, fluffy weird things! Awesome... Yeah, Linkoln had no clue about animals, which made him more adorable in his mind. "They look funny, all fluffy and stuff. What do you do with them? You can't ride them, can you?" The image that came to mind was so funny, Linkoln smiled wide and chuckled at himself.

PCChamp053

“Uh, no… unfortunately you can’t ride them. But I’m raising them to get the wool from them.” She replied to him with a smile. “They’re wool can be spun into nice thread that can make some nice clothes as well.” She added, thinking of all the nice wool clothing she could possibly make with the wool from her mareeps. But even with how small it is right now, maybe a nice scarf would do.

FairMacbeth said the following:

"Oh... Sweet!" he replied, running a hand through his drying hair. Farmers were neat, confusing, but cool all the same. Stretching his arms and lossening up his shoulders, Linkoln towards the island and somewhere towards his house while he said, "Yeah, well I gotta say that it was nice to meet yah and all but I need to munch on some grindage quick before my stomach has a tantrum. But, yeah! I'll ah, catch yah on the flip side!" Giving the girl a Shaka sign, the surfer picked up his board and started up the beach, thinking of what he could possibly make for lunch.

She smiled some as he replied to her, thinking it was great that other liked what she was working with. And yet, when he began to say his goodbye to her, she did feel a bit down, since she only did just get to talk to him. But if he needed to get food, she understood why he had to run. “Ok. Hopefully I get to see you soon.” She replied, waving to him as he began to walk away from her. Looking back to the ocean, she let out a light sigh, thinking about him some. He could possibly be good for Tai, maybe if Tai worked on the shore with her duckletts.

Done!
An rp between my Vullaby girl Ava, and FairMacbeth's Seadra guy Linkoln. A nice talk on the beach of Rapture Retreat.
